Founder

Dr. Jessica Rose Mathy

RoseThread Learning was founded by an educator who has seen school technology from every side: in the classroom with students, in the school office as an assistant principal of special programs, at the district level as an MTSS coordinator choosing and rolling out tools, and as a consultant to edtech startups. She knows why promising tools fail when they add work for teachers, and she builds to fit the way schools already work.

Jessica holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in K-12 education, and a Master of Arts in TESOL, which shapes her focus on multilingual learners and students who show their thinking best on paper. Her doctoral research examined how high school teachers experience professional development for Social and Emotional Learning, and it shaped RoseThread Connect. Her work centers on a simple idea: education is fundamentally human, and technology should make more room for that, not less.
