Monitoring the Planet
Interpreting satellite images of the valley and practicing close observation of people as well as places.
- Students will
- Students interpret satellite image data of the valley to find patterns, estimate the rate of warming from 20 years of satellite data to forecast a regional impact, and communicate what satellites reveal that the ground cannot.
- SEL skill
- Observe a partner as closely as an image and name what you notice without assuming
- What it looks like
- Students practice attunement by observing a person as carefully as an image.
