Integrated Math III · Week 19 · Exponential, Logarithmic, and Inverse Functions
Inverse Functions and Repair
Inverses undo operations; repair undoes harm.
- Students will
- Students find the inverse of a linear function by undoing its operations in reverse order and verify it by testing that the inverse returns an output to its input.
- SEL skill
- Repair a misunderstanding by listening, restating, and fixing the step in order
- What it looks like
- Students practice repair by seeing that harm can be undone with thoughtful steps in the right order.
- Content focus
- Finding and checking inverse functions
- Format
- Partner exchange
